Audio/Video Processing

Snowdrop enables developers to support advanced, industry standard, video codecs and containers such as H.264, MP4, QuickTime, AVI, and FLV and deliver both desktop and mobile video in their own applications.  We also provide full audio format support for MP3, AAC, FLAC, WMA, OGG, and 3GPP in Windows and web-based applications.

Document Conversion and Text Processing

Snowdrop understands that although Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat produce documents that generally control the enterprise workflow, there are many other file formats with special properties and features that are important to everyday tasks.  Therefore, it becomes imperative to provide an interchange process to access these files in their native form as well as in a format readable by other applications.

Web Enablement and Content Scraping

Enabling documents, graphics, and other file formats to exist on the web as native, web-friendly formats is important to many businesses and consumers.  Snowdrop provides conversion software and toolkits to manipulate files in various formats through scripting as well as compiled code.  There are also toolkits available for content scraping and remote content aggregation through standard formats such as RSS and Atom.  These libraries provide full support for HTTP and FTP connections.
